Lining with leadLead sheets of up to 4.2 m in width are fastened to lead-plated anchoring straps in concrete or steel containers and welded with impervious seams. Prime uses here include electrolysis cells for the production of copper or zinc, storage containers subject to low temperature and pressure loads and collection tanks according to the Water Management Act. This technology can also be used for low-cost construction of certifiable double-walled tanks. |

Homogeneous lead-lining of steelHomogeneous lead-lining of steel structures results in a composite material which combines the strength of steel with the outstanding corrosion resistance of lead. It is used wherever high temperatures, pressure or vacuum prevent the use of lead sheet plating. Automatic, homogeneous lead-lining of steel is a process which was introduced in 1972 and has undergone constant further development since then, resulting in economic production of the composite in large quantities and outstanding quality. JL Goslar is the only producer world-wide to use the automatic homogeneous lead-lining process. Our hall dimensions and crane facilities allow the production of parts measuring up to 6 m in diameter or rectangular cross sections of 4 x 6 m, with unit weights of up to 200 tonnes. |

Typical examplesHousings for electrostatic precipitators, scrubbers and cooling towers, reactor/pressure autoclaves, evaporators and coolers. Homogeneous lead-lining is produced and tested according to DIN 28058, using preferably lead or lead alloys as per DIN 1719 or DIN 17640. In addition, large segmented containers are manufactured in homogeneous design for on-site production. Solid lead structuresSmall components, cooling and heating coils, collecting and discharge electrodes for electrostatic precipitators and anodes for low-temperature use are made of solid lead or lead alloys. |

Steel structuresTogether with the lead/steel composite, all special steels are processed and used in accordance with the design requirements. DesignAll calculations, choice of materials and CAD-assisted designs are prepared professionally and expertly, taking account of all mechanical and chemical demands and in compliance with all regulations. This also includes statics and seismological calculations. Transport and assemblyPlanning and arrangements for heavy-duty transport by road, rail or ship are just as much a part of the services we provide as the deployment of experienced fitters and technicians for assembly, commissioning and maintenance at home and abroad. This also applies to work in security areas of nuclear power stations. |
